Make sure that your PC specifications meet the titles requirements. Information about the minimum specification can be found on the back the game box.
Game patches are often released for PC games to enable compatibility with new hardware items or to improve performance and functionality of your game software.
To find if you game has a new patch available for it go to the Customer Support downloads section of our website
In regards to graphical errors or game crashing while loading and during game-play, it is possible that this may be due to not having the latest hardware drivers that are available.
To open this up, click on START button on your task bar then choose RUN and then type DXDIAG into this box and click OK.
Once it is open, it will display a list of tabs along the top that show the system specifications.
The SYSTEM tab will display the operating system, the amount of memory that is available and the version of DirectX being used as well as the Operating system you are using.
The DISPLAY tab shows information on about the video card being used in your PC. It will also show the amount of memory that the card has and the current driver that is being used on the right of this page.
The SOUND tab will display the type of sound card being used and the current driver being used.

Run the DX Diagnostic program as described above.
Click the DISPLAY tab and look in the Device section, next to Name: is the name of your video card. The Manufacturer is the company that manufactured your video card. To find the latest driver go to the manufacturer's web site. You should have a support section or a driver section where you can find the drivers for the device listed in DXDIAG.
Two of the main video card manufacturer’s are Nvidia (http://www.nvidia.com) and ATi (http://www.ati.com)
Follow the instructions on these web site’s to download and install the latest drivers.
Run the DX Diagnostic program as described above.

Follow the instructions on the manufacturer's web site to download and install the latest drivers. If you can't find a driver or the manufacturer's site, refer to the documentation that came with the hardware for your computer for support.
Make sure if when installing the game it asks you to install DirectX that you do this, as the majority of games will not work unless the very latest version supplied on the disc with the game is installed.
Running Windows Update will make sure that your pc has all the latest updates from Microsoft to ensure that it is working properly. This is a wise thing to do anyway as Microsoft quite often release security patches to help secure windows.

Or you will need to do the following steps.

Click Start on the task bar.
- Click Control Panel within this menu.
- Click on the Windows Update button.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Games that were not designed to run under Windows XP, but that were designed to run under Windows 95 or 98 may work in Windows XP Compatibility mode. A good example of this is TDR2000 which can be made to work via the following method.
Find the executable file for the game or the shortcut in the start menu or on the desktop. The game EXE is located in the folder in which you installed the game.
Right-click on the exe or shortcut to the game exe and select ‘Properties’ from the pop-up menu. Then click the ‘Compatibility’ tab, you will see a checkbox labeled, ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for:’ Tick that box and then select the Operating System you wish XP attempt to emulate when running this program from the drop down box.

Confirm these changes by clicking on ‘OK’ at the bottom and then launch the game as per normal and it should work.
